How refunds work on CourseNest's escrow-protected payments.

1. How Our Escrow Protection Works

When you purchase a course on CourseNest, your payment is processed via Paytm but is not released to the faculty until you confirm that you've received your course materials. This protects you from paying for materials that never arrive.

2. When You Can Request a Refund

  • You did not receive your physical materials within a reasonable time after the order was marked "shipped"
  • The digital access link (e.g. Google Drive) provided does not work or is missing content described in the listing
  • The materials received are significantly different from what was advertised
  • The faculty failed to update or fulfill your order within 14 days of purchase

3. When Refunds Are Not Available

  • After you have clicked "Confirm Receipt" on an order — this releases payment to the faculty
  • If you simply changed your mind after receiving materials as described
  • For digital content you have already accessed extensively

4. How to Request a Refund

Before confirming receipt, if there's a problem with your order, please use our Report an Issue page with your order number and details. Our support team will review your case and may pause the order, contact the faculty, or process a refund through Paytm.

5. Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days, though actual credit to your account depends on your bank or payment method's processing time via Paytm.

6. Auto-Confirmation

If you do not confirm or report an issue with a delivered order within the platform's configured auto-confirm window, the order may be automatically confirmed and payment released. Please review your orders promptly after delivery.
